Michael, a British litigation and trial attorney, has built a distinguished legal career spanning both the United States and the United Kingdom. He has handled numerous civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts, accumulating thousands of hours of courtroom experience, and has personally participated in 17 jury trials, achieving favorable verdicts.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Michael previously served as a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County, where he prosecuted thousands of criminal cases, gaining comprehensive experience across all stages of litigation.
He has also worked in the litigation department at Lewis & Llewellyn LLP’s San Francisco office and practiced at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, one of the most respected law firms in the U.S. During his tenure, Michael led and contributed to cases involving misdemeanors, felonies, cyber fraud, and probation violations. Today, he represents individuals and corporate clients in high-risk litigation, including securities fraud, cybercrime, money laundering, and complex financial misconduct. Known for his calm and rational approach, decisive decision-making, and precise execution, he has earned the trust and respect of his clients through meticulous case preparation, sharp risk assessment skills, and attention to detail.
Beyond his legal practice, Michael is deeply committed to community service. In addition to his work as a Deputy District Attorney, he has advocated for victims of domestic violence, assisting them in obtaining restraining orders and asylum, and has championed the rights of vulnerable groups. He has contributed to the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University, served on the board of two non-profit organizations, and volunteered with Project LEAD and the Constitutional Rights Foundation at middle schools in East Los Angeles.
Before entering the legal profession, Michael spent over a decade working as a cameraman in the mainstream motion picture industry in both New York and Hollywood, bringing a unique international perspective to his legal practice.
